Long Version: In this document, ‘we’ refers to Pinkblock Hot Tub Hire Ltd and its representatives. ‘You’ refers to visitors to our website and our customers.

Who is responsible for your data?
Our data protection officer and company owner is Nathan Keziah. The data protection officer is responsible for making sure that your data is stored and processed safely. You can contact them on 07454272660/hello@pinkblock.co.uk.

Why do we process and store your data?

Reason 1 - Essential data storage
We need to store and process your data if you make an enquiry or place an order with us, to allow us to provide our services as a party hire company. This includes your name, contact details, and IP address. We also need to store your details for tax and insurance reasons.

We only store or process data which you have given directly to us and which we need to run our business.

We will not pass on your data to third parties without your consent.

Reason 2 - Cookies

When you visit our website, it places pieces of data on your device called cookies.

Our website stores cookies on your browser to allow you to place an order with us. Our website’s cookies are temporary and cannot be used to identify individual visitors.

Third parties might also set cookies on your browser. We use Google Analytics to monitor the performance of our website, for example. Third parties have their own cookie policies. Some of these cookies are used to track the actions you take on the website (such as the pages you visit). Information about these actions is recorded by Google and Meta, who provide us with anonymised summaries about the actions of visitors to this website. Pinkblock Hot Tub Hire uses these insights to help our efforts to spread the word about our services to as many people as possible. By using this website you consent to this.

Reason 3 - You opted into something

At Pinkblock, we may collect your email and SMS information for marketing purposes. However, we will always ask for your explicit consent to contact you by SMS and email before doing so, and we will make the opt-in process clear and easy to understand.

If you do provide us with your email or SMS information, we may use it to send you promotional content from time to time or updates about our products or services. We may also work with third-party providers such as Meta, Google, Manychat, Mailchimp, Twilio, High Level, and others to assist us with our marketing efforts. These third-party providers have their own privacy policies, which you should review before providing your information.

How long will we keep your data?
We may need to keep your personal details until up to 7 years after you were a customer of ours, for tax and insurance purposes. After this date your data will be anonymised, unless you have ‘opted in’ to receive ongoing communications from us.

Who has access to your data?
Our data protection officer is responsible for managing access to the personal data we store. Generally speaking, only the data protection officer and authorised members of staff will access your data.

Some of the services we use will also store a copy of your data. For example, our website provider Booking Online Ltd, our email provider Fastmail, and any providers they use to provide their services. If you send your details over a social media platform, that platform may keep a copy of your messages.

We do not sell or give your data to any third parties for their marketing purposes.

Who else might your data be shared with?
We reserve the right to share your personal data with other third parties if required for legal reasons. For example, in the case of an insurance claim, a tax audit, or to prevent fraud.

How can you see what data we store about you?
You have the right to request details on any data we store about you. We can send a copy of your data to the email address you entered when using our services.

Your right to deletion
If you were previously a customer of ours, we might need to hold onto some of your data for tax or insurance reasons. Otherwise we will happily comply with your request as best we can.

How can you opt out of our marketing messages?
If at any time you wish to opt-out of our marketing communications, you can do so by using the opt-out links provided in our emails, texting us back or by contacting our data handler, Nathan Keziah, at hello@pinkblock.co.uk or by simply using the live chat widget at the bottom right corner of this site. If you have any questions or concerns about how we collect or use your information, please do not hesitate to reach out to Nathan as well.

How do you make a complaint about our use of your data?
The Information Commissioners’ Office (ICO). is the authority for data protection in the UK. If you have an unresolvable problem with us and our use of your data, they are who you should contact.
