Hire Terms & Conditions
We want you to have a thoroughly fun and stress free experience of working with us, so we have some guidelines in place to help you do that. Please follow all instructions given by our team to ensure you have the best possible hire experience. Pinkblock requires all persons hiring equipment to have read and understood the contents of this document before signing and hiring. If you do not understand the information contained within this document, or require further clarification on any points, please speak to any member of our team. You should read this document and then you will be asked to sign and date. It should be noted that you are signing to accept the equipment as outlined below and have read/understood all points highlighted within the terms and conditions and the hirer is responsible for all users of the hot tub and other equipment during the hire period.
Terms & definitions
In this document, the following terms shall be employed: "hirer", "you", "your", or "their" to refer to the customer and "pinkblock", "us", "we", "our", "the company", and "team" to refer to Pinkblock Hot Tub Hire.
Prior to Hire:
• A non-refundable flat-rate deposit of £50 is required for all hires. Dates cannot be reserved until the deposit is paid, unless explicitly authorized by a team member. This deposit will be applied to the remaining balance, which must be paid in full before or on the setup day.
• Cancellations will result in the hirer losing their £50 deposit. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before will incur full fee.
• Once booked, the total balance cannot be reduced.
• The hirer should provide their preferred delivery and collection times, and we will make every effort to accommodate them. However, we are not obligated to fulfil specific timing requests. If there are any issues with delivery or collection, the company will contact the hirer, and it is expected that the hirer will demonstrate flexibility to reschedule for a suitable date and time.
• The hirer is responsible for ensuring that they meet the requirements for a hot tub hire. The Pinkblock website's FAQ section provides most of the necessary criteria and guidelines. The following are some of the most important requirements:
- You provide a flat-level, clean and clear surface large enough for the hot tub and equipment you intend on hiring. We say at roughly 3x3m for the hot tub and 4x4m for the gazebo as a minimum to be safe.
- You have reasonable access to the venue or your home. If hiring a rigid hot tub, we will need parking for the vehicle and trailer, normal gate/doors of at least 75cm wide and 200cm tall and reasonably clear, open, level access. If you have steps, tight corners or steep hills, a rigid hot tub may not be suitable. Contact us if you are unsure and we can assess your access and don't worry if you don't have great access, we can supply an award winning inflatable hot tub in the worst case scenario.
- Your electrical outlets are less than 10m from the desired set up location. We use a regular 13A UK 3-pin socket to power the hot tub and other equipment. This could be an outdoor or indoor outlet. We usually run cable through an open window if you don't have an outdoor power supply. The window should stay open to ensure you don't damage or make the cabling unsafe. Damage to cable will incur a fee of £20 to repair and retest it.
- You have an outdoor tap & hose, ideally not more than 10m away from the set up location. If not, please let us know and we can supply hoses and kitchen tap adapters instead.
During the hire
• The hot tub will be filled with cold water and will take up to 24 hours to reach the recommended temperature of between 35°C and 38°C. If you have a combi boiler you could have it filled with hot water so it is ready to use when filled, but we cannot always promise this.
• The installation team usually start the filling process and may leave you to finish the process by yourself. If hot-filling the spa, we require you to ensure that the water does not exceed a temperature of 35°C, or you may damage the hot tub. Furthermore, it's important that you do not overfill the hot tubs. Guidance on both will be set out and you will be provided with adequate training and equipment such as hot tub thermometers. Damage associated with either of these situations could occur in you being liable for costs incurred.
• The hot tubs are designed for 4-6 persons. Overloading the hot tub can cause damage to the spa for which you will be liable.
• When using the hot tub, remove cover and store carefully in a clear, clean and dry place. Assess any possible hazards such as electrical, trip, slip or drowning, and minimise or eradicate them. Test the water temperature and sanitation, and treat if necessary by using the chemical kits provided. Enter the water carefully using the provided spa steps. NO JUMPING and make sure it is not too hot (test first).
• Gazebos will be erected weather permitting if chosen as an extra. If we erect a gazebo and the weather deteriorates then it is up to you, the hirer to take this down to avoid damage to the hire equipment and anything around it.
• The hot tub will maintain temperature by itself; although during colder months and periods of heavy use or when the cover is removed for an extended period there will be a fall in temperature. When in use, you should be taking regular breaks anyway, so use the jets in short bursts when you are using it and you'll find the temperature to be steadier. Staying out of the hot tub, setting the hot tub to it's idle circulation state and replacing the cover will allow the water temperature to rise to the desired level in the quickest time.
• Always leave the hot tub plugged in and switched on in order for the filtration/heating systems to work. If you accidentally or purposefully turn the hot tub off, it will turn cold. We will not accept refund requests for this situation.
• Do not use drugs, smoke or drink alcohol when using the hot tub. Drinking from glass containers in and around the hot tub is strictly prohibited.
• Fire pits/buckets or BBQ’s are not to be used around the hot tub.
• No electrical equipment should be used within 1.5m of the hot tub. Indoor and outdoor sockets should comply with UK electrical safety regulations and be of sufficient quality. If the outdoor socket is not suitable for use with our equipment, we will advise the hirer to use a safer and more appropriate outlet. Under no circumstances should a hot tub be connected using an extension cable, and we will not do so. The hirer assumes responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others if they disregard our advice and misuse electrical equipment.
• Pets are not allowed in.
• Children under the age of 5 should not use the hot tub. Children over the age of 5 must be accompanied and constantly monitored by an adult at all times when using and near the hot tub. The temperature should be reduced to a lukewarm temperature and children should take very regular breaks. Use the hot tub covers supplied when not in use.
• At more than 38°C it is recommended that you should not spend more than fifteen minutes in the hot tub.
• Pregnant women and persons with heart disease, circulatory problems, diabetes, low or high blood pressure, prone to fits or with any other concerns about their health should consult their doctor before use.
• Chemicals will need to be added. We will go through the procedure with you verbally upon delivery and will leave you with information regarding application, handling, storage etc. If you have questions, just ask.
• Pinkblock will not be responsible for water damage or any other type of damage that occurs from hot tubs set up indoors.
• Every tub is deep cleaned in between hires and shock treated on installation, it is your responsibility to keep the chemicals at the correct levels as indicated in the chemical kit. Failure to do so can cause illness and Pinkblock will take no liability in these instances.
• Everyone using the hot tub, showers before and after use and no foreign bodies e.g. fake tan, bubble bath, food, grass, earth, sand, stones or sharp objects are introduced to the water. The hot tub will perform better if kept clean, therefore more enjoyable to use. No hair clips or body jewellery are permitted in the hot tub.
• If we have to come out to the hot tub whilst on hire to rectify a fault and the fault is found to be down to misuse there is charge of £1 per mile from OL11 plus £10ph plus parts.
• Any problems experienced with the hire equipment should be reported by texting 07454272660 and/or emailing hello@pinkblock.co.uk, we can only solve issues if we are notified of them.
Post-Hire:
• We will schedule a mutually agreed-upon date and time to collect the hot tub at the end of the hire period. If access is not granted for us to collect the equipment as arranged, there will be a £50 charge for each day until we can retrieve the hot tub. Please ensure the hot tub is full, switched on, and heating at the time of collection. If the hot tub is not full, switched on, and heating, there will be a £50 charge.
• The hirer is responsible for any damage caused by improper use or failure to follow the guidelines outlined above, and must pay for any such damages in full. The hirer understands and acknowledges that the use of the hot tub is at their own risk.
• We will make every effort to pump the water from the hot tub into a main drain to prevent flooding. In cases where this is not feasible, we may need to pump water onto the garden or road, which may result in flooding. Discharging hot tub water onto a garden or street is safe and environmentally acceptable.
• All equipment must be returned - this includes, hoses and tap attachments. Failure to do so will result in us charging the cost incurred to replace them.
• Refunds will only be given if our equipment has failed and after a test at our depot confirms it. If the hot tub has been used we will not issue any refund unless it is clear our equipment has failed. Please note normal operating temperature is 35 – 40 degrees Celsius.
ANY DAMAGES TO HOT TUBS OR GAZEBOS WILL BE CHARGED AT THE APPROPRIATE RATE AS FOLLOWS:
• Ripped gazebo side or roof £40
• Damaged gazebo frame £150
• Punctured hot tubs (due to body jewellery or sharp objects) £200
• Heavily soiled hot tubs or stained tubs (caused by bunting, confetti, party poppers etc.) £50 cleaning fee
• Hot tubs damaged beyond repair will result in a charge of between £500-£3,000 (depending on the tub hired). This is to be paid to a member of our team before they leave your address. Failure to pay will result in us seeking redress through the small claims court. By signing, the hirer agrees to release Pinkblock from any and all liabilities incurred with the use of the hot tub and other hire equipment.
